Why we started

Qatar has electrified its buses, cars and energy systems quickly. That progress brings a new question: what happens to all those batteries when they retire?

Most retired batteries still hold a large share of their capacity, but there has been no fast, trusted way to know which ones are safe to reuse and for how long. Full testing takes hours, and models built for cooler climates miss what Gulf heat does to a battery.

We started Upcoming Life to answer that question in minutes, with numbers people can trust, and to keep good batteries working instead of sending them to waste.
